SEO & Site Speed
A website that people and search engines understand
Good rankings start with a well-built site. The technical side of search engine optimisation – page titles, structure, speed, images, structured data and accessibility – checked, fixed and explained in plain words.
What gets checked and fixed
- Titles, meta descriptions and headings – one clear topic per page, written for people first.
- Indexing – robots.txt, the XML sitemap, canonical URLs, and noindex for pages that should stay out of search results.
- Structured data – schema.org JSON-LD, so search engines know who you are and what you offer; Open Graph tags for sharing on social networks.
- Speed and Core Web Vitals – LCP, CLS and INP; image compression (WebP, responsive images), fonts and scripts that load only when needed, browser caching and compression on the server.
- Accessibility – WCAG 2.1 AA: contrast, alt text for images, keyboard use and labels for screen readers. A site that is easy to use is also easier to rank.
- Mobile-friendly layout – content that fits small screens without zooming or sideways scrolling.
- Links and addresses – broken links, 301 redirects, a helpful 404 page, HTTPS.
- Valid HTML and CSS – checked with the W3C validator.
How the work goes
- Audit – the whole site goes through Lighthouse, the W3C validator, axe and custom scripts, and every finding is noted.
- Report – a short list in plain words: what to fix first and why.
- Fixes – the changes are made, or explained to whoever runs your site.
- Follow-up – Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools show how the site is indexed and which searches bring visitors.
First place on Google is not promised here; nobody can honestly promise it. A well-built site gives your content the best chance. This website is a working example: the W3C links at the bottom of every page check its code, and the case studies show how it was built.
